The Eagles look to get back in the win column with early Labor Day contest
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 22 Boston College men's soccer team looks to rebound from Friday's home loss when the Eagles host Big East foe Xavier on Monday afternoon. The teams will kick off at 1 p.m. at the Newton Campus Soccer Field.
Â
Boston College (2-1-0) brought back-to-back 4-0 victories into Friday's contest against New Hampshire, but the Wildcats benefited from an early own goal and added an insurance strike in the 88th minute to secure the win in the teams' first meeting since 1989. Freshman Antonio Chavez Borrelli made his first career start in goal after coming in as a halftime substitute in each of the two games.
Â
Xavier (2-1-0) comes into Monday's game following Friday's 3-0 win at Harvard as part of a Boston-area weekend.
