Women Take #2 Ranking in First SWCR

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's and co-ed sailing teams find themselves ranked within the top five in the season's first Sailing World College Rankings, released Tuesday afternoon.

Coming off of a weekend that saw freshman Sophia Reineke and junior Isabella Loosbrock finish fifth and seventh, respectively, in the NEISA Singlehanded Championships, the women took up a second-place ranking, one spot behind top-ranked Yale. The Eagles received six first-place votes.

In the co-ed rankings, Boston College racked up a fifth-place overall ranking. Georgetown, Yale, Boston University and Hobart and William Smith Colleges rounded out the other members of the top five.

Boston College will be back on the water this weekend with a slate of regattas lined up across New England.
