BC Hosts No. 12 Virginia Tech Oct. 7 on ESPN2

Eagles and Hokies Under the Lights with a 7:15 p.m. kickoff

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Monday that the October 7 football game between Boston College and No. 12 Virginia Tech is set to kickoff at 7:15 p.m. on ESPN2.

It marks the first Saturday primetime game at Alumni Stadium since Nov. 8, 2014 when BC hosted Louisville under the lights also at 7:15 p.m. on ESPN2.

Virginia Tech leads the all-time series between the former Big East rivals, 17-8-0. The Hokies and Eagles have met every year beginning in 1993 except for 2004.

In the ACC, the Hokies lead the series 9-5. The last BC victory against Virginia Tech came in 2014 in Blacksburg (33-31) while the last home win was a 33-31 victory in 2013. Head coach Steve Addazio is 2-2 in four meetings as the BC head coach against Virginia Tech.

Boston College (1-3, 0-2 ACC) returns home this week with a non-conference game against Central Michigan. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. with broadcast coverage on ACC Network Extra and the BC IMG Sports Network.
