Coroneos Named To All-ACC Softball Academic Team

Chestnut Hill, Â Mass - Â Senior Taylor Coroneos was named to the All-ACC Academic Softball team as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Thursday morning.
Coroneos, who graduated in May 2016, was the only BC player recognized with a spot along with 30 other student athletes including eight from Florida State, five from Notre Dame, three from Virginia Tech and Louisville, two student-athletes from NC State, North Carolina, Virginia, Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech and one from Pittsburgh.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
Coroneos played in all 53 games as the Eagles posted a 31-22 record, while going 14-9 in the conference. She finished the season with a career-high in batting average (.352), hits (64) and doubles (six). Coroneos broke the program record for single-season hits.
A native of Seawall, New Jersey, Coroneos is a two-time Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement honoree and All-ACC Honor roll in 2016.
