BC HIGHLIGHTS
- The A Division of Erika Reineke, Alice Bohan and Lily McGrath placed third overall with 125 points. The team had two first place, third and fourth place finishes. The final four races is where the team faltered as they placed 14th, 9th, 12th and 16th.
- The B Division team of Scott Sinks, Wade Waddell, Allison Ferraris and Emma Perry placed fourth with 142 points. The team had two first place, two fifth and two six place finishes. Â BC placed fourth, 13th, fifth and 17th in the final four races.
- BC placed fourth overall among 18 teams. The Eagles were second coming into the final round of sailing.
- This is the second consecutive year the Eagles placed fourth in the coed national championship.
- The team wrapped up the two weeks of action with a second place finish in the women's division and fourth in the team race.
- The Boston College sailing team shined on the water over the last two weeks and picked up awards following the racing.
- Senior Erika Reineke leaves The Heights as one of the most decorated athletes as she picked up her second All-American honor this week. She was honored as Sailor of the Year after helping the team place second overall in the women's national championship last week.
- Reineke's teammates also picked up some hardware as Lizzie Bohan, Allison Ferraris and Hannah Lynn were named ICSA All-American Crews while Harry Koeppel and Scott Sinks were ICSA Honorable Mention Coed All-American Skippers.
- Boston College placed second in the Fowle Trophy competition for the top collegiate team. The College of Charleston won with 98.53 points, while BC finished second and Yale was third. The team with the most points, which are compiled results of the ICSA Women's Singlehanded, Men's Singlehanded, Match Racing, Coed Semifinals, Women's, Team Racing, and Coed National Championships, determines the Fowle trophy.
