Chimento batted with the score tied, 1-1, with Sharabba on second in the bottom of the sixth. Chimento took three balls and fouled one off before finding her pitch. She cranked a home run over the left-field fence to give the Eagles a 3-1 lead.

- The Eagles won the rubber game against Louisville, going 2-1 against the Cardinals.
- BC has won all four of its ACC series, taking two of three games against Virginia and Pittsburgh and then sweeping Syracuse.
- Junior Jordan Chimento batted 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. Chimento has 10 multi-hit games (second on the team) and four multi-RBI performances (tied for second on the team).
- Junior Chloe Sharabba went 2-for-3 with a run, recording her second straight multi-hit game.
- Junior Jessica Dreswick (16-6) threw a complete game, allowing no earned runs and only four hits. Dreswick reduced her ERA to 1.84.

- Louisville's Morgan Meyer reached on an error in the top of the third and advanced to second. Kaitlin Ferguson pushed her to third on a grounder. Then Jordan McNary singled to left to score Meyer for Louisville's 1-0 lead.
- BC tied it, 1-1, in the fourth. Junior Annie Murphy singled to left center. She advanced to second on a groundout. Chimento singled to center, and Murphy slid home to score.
- Sharabba singled to left and advanced to second on a foul out, setting up Chimento's heroics.
