BC HIGHLIGHTS
- The Boston College men's track and field team took to Philadelphia, Pa., this weekend to compete in the esteemed Penn Relays, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.
- On Thursday evening, sophomore Benjamin Osipow was the first Eagle in action, competing in the 3000m steeplechase. Osipow crossed the line with a time of 9:29.37, a new personal best by more than 20 seconds.
- Sophomore Sean Burke also took to the track on Thursday evening under the lights, racing in the 5K. With his time of 14:20.90, Burke earned a new personal best.
- On Friday, the distance medley relay team kicked off the action for the Eagles. Sophomore Ian Ritchie led off, running the 1200m leg, followed by senior Darren James in the 400m leg, Osipow in the 800m, and senior Michael Stephens in the 1600m. The Eagles combined for a time of 10:13.43 in the event.
- The Eagles also ran a sprint medley relay team on Friday evening, comprised of sophomore Oliver Boucher, sophomore Mikhail Bethell, sophomore Michael Saxon and freshman Sean Conboy. The squad teamed up for a time of 3:36.58.
- BC also ran a 4x400m relay on Friday evening, looking to qualify for the IC4A Finals in the event on Saturday. Junior Nicholas Nash, senior Obinna Nwankwo, James and sophomore Matthew Morano came through, posting a time of 3:17.09, qualifying the Eagles for the finals. On Saturday, the team improved its time to 3:15.75, taking sixth place in the IC4A final.
- The Eagles' other relay team competed in the 4x800m relay. Ritchie, sophomore Andrew Willis, Saxon and Conboy clocked in at 7:54.14.

The Eagles will head to the ACC Championships the weekend of May 12th in Atlanta, Ga., hosted by Georgia Tech.
