- Kenzie Kent led the way for the Eagles scoring five goals and adding two assists for a game-high seven points.
- Sam Apuzzo was just behind Kent with five points today (4G, 1A) and was 2-for-3 on free-position shots.
- BC controlled the draw circle, winning 20-of-28 draw controls, including a 12-of-15 advantage in the second half.
- BC outshot Notre Dame 21-10 in the second half of the game
- Carly Bell led the Eagles with a career-high four ground balls on defense.
- Kate Weeks finished today's game with one goal and a career-high four draw controls.
- With today's win, head coach Acacia Walker became the winningest coach in program history with 65 career victories.
- Before today's game, BC honored its six seniors for their dedication to the program the last four seasons: Tess Chandler, Laura Frankenfield, Kayla O'Connor, Mary Kate O'Neill, Zoe Ochoa and Kate WeeksÂ
TURNING POINT
- Down 9-8 with 19:20 to play, BC scored seven unanswered goals and only allowed four shots on goal the remainder of the half.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the opening 10 minutes of the game, Notre Dame jumped ahead 4-1.
- Down 5-2, the Eagles got three goals from Sam Apuzzo (2) and Kenzie Kent to tie the game with 2:42 left in the half.
- Notre Dame scored two goals in the final minute to take a 7-5 lead into the half.
- As the second half opened, BC quickly tied the game at 7-7 and then the two teams continued to trade goals to make it 9-9 five minutes into the half.
- Including the game-tying goal at 9-9, BC scored seven straight goals to take a 15-9 lead with 7:24 left to play
- Notre Dame was held scoreless for 20 minutes before finally breaking through to make it 15-10 at with 5:44 remaining, but the Eagles scored the final goal of the game 23 seconds later to make it a final 16-10 tally.Â
