"The men's team has a ton of confidence leading into the ACC Championship from the overall academic year with a win at Yale and some solid finishes in strong tournaments. Matt (Naumec) has the lowest scoring average (72.2) in the history of Boston College golf, and two of the freshmen, Christian (Cavaliere) and Brendan (Ridge), have had great first years. The team is focused on assembling three solid team scores at Musgrove Mill and having a strong showing against our conference schools, five of which are in the top 25 in the country."
SPRING SEASON RECAP
- Boston College opened the spring with a fourth-place finish at the Pizza Hut-Pat Hicks Invitational in Utah. Sophomore Matthew Naumec won the individual title at -8 while freshman Christian Cavaliere finished T3.
- The Eagles then competed at the historic Pinehurst Resort for the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, finishing eighth. Naumec entered the final round as the 36-hole leader and finished T4 in the event. It was his fifth-straight top five finish dating back to the fall season. Senior Patrick Oleksak earned a top-25 finish at T23.
- The final tune-up before the ACC Championship was at the Clemson Invitational. Junior Patrick Hallisey paced the way for BC, finishing T40
