BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior Tatiana Cortez broke the program records for career RBI and tied the team records for career home runs and RBI in a single game.
- Cortez recorded seven RBI against Penn, hitting 3-for-4 with a grand slam and a three-run home run. Only two other Eagles have recorded a seven-RBI game: Jenna Macchi (March 31 and April 10, 2007) and Tory Speer (May 5, 2011).
- The three-run home run gave Cortez 135 RBI, tying Speer's career record. Cortez broke her record with a two-run home run against USF, giving her 137 RBI.
- Cortez's home run against the Bulls gave her 41 in her career, tying Speer for the program record.
- Cortez batted 2-for-4 against USF, going 5-for-8 with three home runs and nine RBI overall in the doubleheader.
- Sophomore Kendra Friedt allowed only one run in six innings against the Quakers, striking out five.
- Sophomore Lexi DiEmmanuele batted 3-for-7 in the doubleheader with two runs and two stolen bases.
- Junior Chloe Sharabba hit 2-for-4 with a home run and one RBI against USF.
- Junior Jordan Chimento went 3-for-6 with two runs, a walk and one RBI in the two games.
- Junior Annie Murphy batted 3-for-6 with a walk in Wednesday's games.
Game 2
TURNING POINT
USF's AnaMarie Bruni hit a triple in the bottom of the fifth. Then Astin Donovan reached on an error to score her. Lauren Evans followed with a single to center that scored Donovan, giving the Bulls a 3-1 lead.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Junior Jessica Dreswick and USF pitcher Hannah Parker kept the game scoreless through three innings.
- Bethaney Keen gave USF a 1-0 lead with a ground-rule double that scored Brooke Hartman in the bottom of the fourth.
- Senior Taylor Coroneos and DiEmmanuele hit consecutive singles in the top of the fifth. Chimento singled to center to score Coroneos and tie the game, 1-1.
- The Bulls added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth.
- Sharabba hit a solo home run in the top of the sixth to close USF's lead to 3-2.
- The Eagles loaded the bases later in the sixth, but Murphy was forced out at home.
- USF's Lindsey Devitt walked in the bottom of the sixth, setting up Cassidy Boyle's two-run home run that gave USF a 6-2 lead.
- Cortez brought BC closer with a two-run home run in the seventh that made it 6-4. The homer scored Chimento, who was hit by a pitch.
Game 1
TURNING POINT
Cortez entered the batter's box with the bases loaded after BC's first three hitters reached safely in the top of the first. The catcher launched it to center field for a grand slam, giving the Eagles a 4-0 lead.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- BC developed immediate momentum. Coroneos led off the game with a single. Then DiEmmanuele reached on a bunt. She advanced to second, and Coroneos stole third. Then Chimento walked to load the bases for Cortez's grand slam.
- Later in the first, sophomore Allyson Moore singled to center. Murphy followed with a walk. Sophomore Carly Severini fouled out but pushed Moore to third. Then the runners advanced on an illegal pitch, scoring Moore to give BC a 5-0 lead.
- The Quakers got on the board with an RBI single from Sam Pederson in the bottom of the second, making it 5-1.
- DiEmmanuele singled on a bunt in the seventh and then stole second. Chimento singled to left. Freshman Brenna Griesser pinch ran for Chimento and stole second. Cortez then homered to left for her second long ball of the game, giving BC an 8-1 lead.
UP NEXT
The Eagles will open ACC play with a road series against Virginia beginning Friday at 5 p.m. in Charlottesville, Va.
