- The Boston College defense clamped down and held the Demon Deacons without a field goal for five minutes while cutting into the lead, 22-19.
- The teams traded runs and BC scored six-straight to make it a 27-25 Wake lead at the 7:04 mark.
- Wake Forest took a 44-38 lead into the half.
- The Eagles scored seven unanswered points in a span of 1:14 to tie the game, 53-53, early in the second.
