Tsokilauri, Safron win final two matches
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's tennis team won the final two matches, but Louisville defeated the Eagles, 4-3, in Sunday's ACC contest in the Flynn Recreation Complex.

The Eagles (8-8, 3-5 ACC) won three singles matches, including the last two. Senior Emily Safron completed the match with a 6-3, 6-3 victory in fifth singles.

Freshman Elene Tsokilauri earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory in sixth singles, closing Louisville's lead to 4-2. Earlier in the contest, freshman Kylie Wilcox won 7-6, 6-1 in fourth singles, reducing the Cardinals' lead to 2-1.

Safron, Wilcox and Tsokilauri combined to go 6-0 in singles matches this week.

Louisville advanced to 13-4 overall and 2-3 in ACC matches.

The Eagles will continue their homestand against Florida State on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
