March 20, 2017 | Football, Boston College Athletics, Women's Hockey
Football is back at The Heights and goaltending shines in women’s hockey loss.
Football: There is still snow on the ground but spring football is upon us. With the first week of practice underway, the Boston College football team looks at areas for improvement.
After seeing some action last season, redshirt junior quarterback Darius Wade is set to take over the offense, but competition at the position is expected again. Rehabbing an injury, senior linebacker Connor Strachan is enjoying taking a coach's role this spring and will assist in developing the younger members of the LB core.
Women's Hockey: On Friday, the Eagles entered the women's Frozen Four to face No. 1 Wisconsin. After going the entire game scoreless, Wisconsin got the only goal of the game with just seconds remaining.
Despite the loss, junior goaltender Katie Burt stole the show and stopped 35 straight shots before allowing the goal. The goal surprised everyone, including Burt, who never saw it until it was passed her.
