Chimento Wins ACC Player of the Week

Junior leads highest-scoring lineup in ACC
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College junior Jordan Chimento was crowned ACC Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

The catcher/third baseman hit .533 with two home runs and seven RBI in four games last weekend at the Houston Hilton Plaza Invitational.

Chimento's batting average and home-run total place her third in the ACC in both categories. She ranks 27th nationally and seventh in the ACC with 1.75 RBI per game. She hit two home runs in Sunday's doubleheader, including a three-run shot against UC Santa Barabara.

The Broken Arrow, Okla., native also recorded a .533 on-base percentage and .933 slugging percentage last weekend.

Chimento led a surging BC lineup that ranks first in the ACC and 15th nationally with eight runs per game. The Eagles (3-1) will next travel to the Wildcat Invitational for five games from Friday to Sunday in Tucson, Ariz.
