BC HIGHLIGHTS
- The Boston College women's track and field team raced this weekend at Boston University in the 2017 David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
- Senior Claudia DiSomma bettered her ACC Championship-qualifying time in the 800m following a second place performance among collegiate competitors in the event. DiSomma crossed the line in 2:08.38, shaving of a second from her previous qualification mark.
- In the 400m dash, sophomore Johanna Celli and senior Robin Gross turned in solid performanecs. Celli crossed the line in 57.49 while Gross came in at 57.92.
- The duo of junior Julia Barron and senior Christina Kyritsis took to the 500m for the Eagles. Barron was the fifth-best collegiate competitor, finishing in 1:16.25, while Kyritsis was not far off, taking sixth place out of the collegiate competitors with her time of 1:17.10.
- The Eagles closed out the meet with the 4x400m relay. The squad of Celli, DiSomma, Gross and junior Molly McCabe took third place overall, teaming up for a time of 3:47.68.

The Eagles will send a group of athletes to South Bend, Ind., from February 23-25 to participate in the 2017 ACC Championships hosted by Notre Dame. Â
