 Boston College (8-14, 1-8) will host No. 6/5 Florida State (20-2, 8-1) on Thursday night at 7 p.m. FSU is the third ranked team BC has played in the last five games. The Eagles are looking to stop an eight game skid. BC lost to No. 25 Miami (16-5) on Sunday, 58-51. Sophomore Mariella Fasoula led the Eagles with 22 points and seven rebounds.
Florida State (20-2, 8-1 ACC) last played on Thursday, Jan. 26. The Seminoles defeated Georgia Tech on the road, 69-63. The Seminoles have eight Top 50 RPI victories this season. Shakala Thomas leads FSU in scoring (14 ppg.) while Ivey Slaughter is the top rebounder (6.1 rpg.). Brittany Brown averages 5.1 assists per game for FSU.

• This is the 15th meeting between BC and FSU.
• Florida State leads the overall series, 13-1.
• Boston College's only victory over FSU came in the ACC Tournament to advance to the semifinals in 2010. The Eagles earned a 67-60 victory behind a 43 points second half. Stefanie Murphy had 14 points and four boards, while Carolyn Swords pitched in with 11 points and seven rebounds. Jasmine Gill had 13 points, three rebounds and three assists in the win.
• Last season Florida State defeated Boston College, 75-47, as five players scored in double-digits for the Seminoles. BC scored only 15 points in the first half and was held to seven points in the final quarter.

• Senior Kelly Hughes is just 29 points from 1,500 career points. She moved into fourth on the ACC All-Time list of three-pointers made when she hit two against Duke. Hughes also became BC's all-time leader - male or female - basketball as she passed Troy Bell '03 with 301 three-pointers. She currently has 303 career three-pointers.
• The Eagles guard is also the ninth player in program history to reach over 1,000 points and 600 rebounds.
• Mariella Fasoula had her fifth double-double (26-10) at Wake Forest. In ACC games, Fasoula has scored 20-plus points in five games and hit double-figures in six games.
• The sophomore center is fourth in ACC play in scoring (16.8 ppg) and eighth in rebound (8.1). She is also 5th overall in field goal percentage (53%) in ACC play.
• Kailey Edwards leads the teams in defensive charges with nine while Georgia Pineau has taken seven. Four players - Steph Jones, Emma Guy, Emilee Daley and Kelly Hughes - have taken two.
• Boston College has had two freshmen in the starting lineup in nine games this season. Rookie Georgia Pineau has 17 starts, while Emma Guy has 11, including the last four games. Freshman Taylor Ortlepp has started the last four games.
• Senior Kelly Hughes is on the only player on the roster to start every game this season.
