
DeJarld Produces Double-Double at Florida State

Volleyball fell in three sets in last road game
TALLAHASEE, Fla. – Tallying 27 assists and 11 digs on the match, sophomore Jane DeJarld recorded her ninth double-double on the season as Boston College Volleyball fell to Florida State in three frames on Sunday afternoon.
The Seminoles found runs throughout the match, which the Eagles could not mimic. A first-set 25-20 loss was the closest margin during the match. FSU took quick second and third sets, 25-17, 25-13.
DeJarld's 27 assists and 11 digs were both match highs on the afternoon. Sophomore Cat Balido led the attack with match-high kills (12). Junior McKenna Goss followed with 11 kills, then came graduate Lynn Braakhuis with seven on the match.
Florida State was led by Milica Kubura with 11 kills and Cecilie Woie was 11 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1
The Seminoles find a 5-2 run to start the match and, after a kill and an ace from Braakhuis, found another run, this time 6-2 to take a 12-7 lead. Though there were no more runs, FSU maintained its lead to win the set, 25-20.
SET 2
A kill from Braakhuis gets the Eagles on the board in the second set, but the points are traded until Florida State found a 5-1 run and took a 14-8 lead. No significant runs are hit during the rest of the frame, the Seminoles holding the lead all the way until the end, 25-17.
SET 3
Kills from Braakhuis then West spark the third frame, though the teams go back-and-fourth. At 14-10, FSU commences a 6-0 run that ultimately seals the set win, 25-13, and the match win.

Up next: The Eagles return home to Chestnut Hill for the last home stand of the season. They will host Duke on Friday Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m.
