HOW IT HAPPENED
- 6' | Joe Bell played Nathanial Crofts deep into the right corner, and Crofts connected with Robin Afamefuna near the top of the area, and his left-footed one-timer on the run was just wide left of the Eagles' goal.
- 10' | UVA GOAL - Virginia worked the ball down the left side through Robin Afamefuna, who sent a cross in from deep on the flank. Rafael Salama came in to clear the ball, but Antonio Chavez Borrelli was also coming out off his line, and Salama's touch sent the ball into the goal over the goalkeeper for a 1-0 UVA lead
- 14' | Joshua Forbes played a one-two with Nikita Bondar on the edge of the attacking third, and then laid off the ball to Johnson in the middle of the box. His right-footed shot toward the near post was saved by UAV keeper Jeff Caldwell.
- 18' | Raheem Taylor-Parke got behind the BC backline, but Chavez Borrelli came way out off his line up to the edge of the 18 to break up the 1-on-1 bid
- 22' | UVA GOAL – Off a corner kick, the BC defense got a clear on the initial service but it popped out and Sergi Nus chested down the rebound and pushed it high to Pablo Aguilar near the edge of the box. Aguilar took space into the 18 and put a hard-angled shot on from seven yards that found space above Chavez Borrelli.
- 25 '| The Eagles worked the ball deep and got it wide out to Beto Luna, who tried to take more space on the left to get a shot off. He was dispossessed and the Cavs cleared, but BC won the ball back and Henry Balf set up Heidar Aegisson just inside the area. His curling shot was just wide right of Jeff Caldwell's goal
- 31' | UVA GOAL, PENALTY KICK – As Aguilar cut across the box to get a shot off, the referee adjudged that Henry Balf impeded his way and awarded the Cavs a penalty kick. Aguilar stepped up and buried his chance going to his left, pushing the UVA lead to 3-0.
- 40' | UVA GOAL – Jean-Christopher Koffi played a through ball out wide right to Nathanial Crofts. He drove a cross in to Edward Opuko, who met the pass three yards out and backheel flicked it over Chavez Borrelli for a four-goal UVA lead.
- 55' | Off a BC corner kick, Beto Luna's shot from inside the six was blocked before it could go into an open net, and on the ensuing corner kick, Joshua Forbes' shot from 10 yards out found side netting, going just wide.
- 63' | BC broke around the UVA defense and Luna got a curling cross in across the box. Simon Enstrom rose meet it, but his header from 12 yards out was high.
