Freshman post player from Minnesota discusses his role with the team and the summer trip to the Bahamas
Steffon Mitchell is one of five newcomers set to take the court for Boston College for the 2017-18 season. BCEagles.com caught up with the 6-8, 222 lb. forward from Shakopee, Minn. during the preseason.
On his decision to attend Boston College:
I thought that they had the best coaches and that I could excel in the system. I think we are going to be good this year.
On the role that he wants to play on the team:
I think I can make an impact this year by working hard and helping the team where they need me. I hope to help produce and play my role.
On which arena he is most looking forward to play:
I am looking forward to playing at North Carolina.
What is one word to describe yourself on the court?
Versatile. I think I can do a lot of things to help the team win.
On the team trip to the Bahamas:
It was a nice trip and a good chance for us to bond as a team. We spent the week together, doing all sorts of activities in addition to the practices and games. It was a lot of fun.
