
Season-Best 200 Yard Medley Relay Earned at Loyola

BALTIMORE, Md.- The Boston College swim team traveled to challenge Loyola Friday evening. Both the men and women performed strong. The women were edged out, 165-135, while the men triumphed over the Greyhounds 183-115. The Eagles proved to be a dominant force in the pool, as the women's 200 yard medley relay earned an all-time dual meet-best and season-best for the Eagles, led by Maura Grimes, Taylor Covington, Victoria Lin and Ali Kea, clocking in with a time of 1:47.54. For the men, Zander Santana, Will Suchy and Matthew Amadeo placed first, second, and third, respectively, against both Loyola and George Washington.

Ali Kea clocked in a relay split time of 23.74 in the freestyle leg of the medley relay, and placed second in both the 50 and 100 freestyles with a time of 24.58 and 53.44, respectively.

- Emily Mann took second in the 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 10:48.01
- Covington placed third in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.65).
- Natalie Dalla Riva placed second in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:08.77.
- Lin placed first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:08.42.
- Kristi Fecarotta placed second in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:13.05.
- Lin placed first (57.24) and Ina Elcott took second (57.91) in the 100 yard butterfly.
- Cece O'Reilly placed first in the 1 meter diving with a score of 244.80
MEN
- In the 200 Yard Freestyle, Michael Hinton placed first (1:46.15), Charles Kleinsmith placed second (1:47.50), and Matt Shelton placed third (1:47.87).
- Colin O'Leary placed first in the 100 backstroke (52.40) while Daniel Creighton followed closely behind in second (52.96).
- McKenzie Cole took second in the 100 yard breaststroke (58.31).
- Colin Derdeyn placed first with a time of 21.35 in the 50 freestyle.
- Taylor Cortens came in second with a time of 2:06.58 in the 200 yard breaststroke.
- Robert McCrory placed first in the 3 meter diving, scoring 276.97
