
Taghian Individually Places First at George Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Boston College swim team fell to George Washington Sunday afternoon on the road. The women fell 181-119 and the men fell 185-115.  Both the men and women had a strong showing, namely the men's 200 Yard Medley Relay earned a season best time of 1:33.81 and junior Gabby Taghian placing first in the 1m diving.

- Ina Elcott placed second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.12.
- Kristi Fecarotta placed second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:12.47.
- In the 100 butterfly, Elcott placed second with a time of 57.78 and Victoria Lin took third with a time of 58.38.
- Taghian placed first in the 1m diving with a score of 260.17.
- In the 200 butterfly, Taylor Cortens placed first (1:53.38) while Colin O'Leary took second (1:55.52).
- In the 200 Breaststroke, Cortens took first (2:06.74) and Peter Shepanzyk placed third (2:09.72).
- In the 500 Yard Freestyle, Will Suchy took second (4:52.66), Michael Hinton came in third, (4:54.43), and Matthew Amedeo placed fourth (4:58.75).
- Bob McCrory placed fourth scoring 319.05 in the 3m diving.
