CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – On a weekend filled with weather that felt more like August than it did October, the Boston College sailing team returned to the water to compete in four different regattas.
Â
The Eagles hosted the Central Series II Regatta after having hosted the Central Series I Regatta back in September. In this edition of the Central Series, the Eagles improved their standing, finishing in fourth place overall, bettering their seventh place finish in the first Central Series.
Â
At the Mrs. Hurst Bowl, hosted by Dartmouth, the Eagles saw another fourth place finish go their way. Boston College tied Yale with 63 points, but was awarded fourth place following the tiebreaker procedure.
Â
Elsewhere, at the Oberg Trophy hosted by Northeastern, the Eagles took home a seventh place finish after racing in nearly windless conditions. Finally, at the Hoyt Trophy hosted by Brown, Boston College claimed a 13th-place overall finish.
Â
Boston College will return to action in its penultimate weekend of fall racing next weekend, taking part in three different regattas in the Boston area.
