THE GAME
• Boston College (8-8, 1-2) comes off a two-game road swing at 0-2. BC lost at Pitt on Thursday and again to No. 25 Syracuse on Sunday. The Eagles will host Georgia Tech on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Conte Forum.
• Senior Kelly Hughes had 12 points and eight boards to lead BC but it was not enough as No. 25 Syracuse outscored BC, 43-21, in the second half to secure a 79-52 ACC victory on Sunday. Hughes shot 4-for-6 from the three-point line.
• Georgia Tech is now 11-4 and 0-2 in the conference.
• Tech has lost to Notre Dame and Duke to start the ACC season. G-Tech has not played since Jan. 5 it hosted Duke (L, 75-68).
• GT rookie Francesca Pan was named the ACC Rookie of the Week on Tuesday.
