Three Sailors Qualify For Nationals

Women's Sailing
RESULTS
Boston College's Erika Reineke won the NEISA singlehanded event this past weekend while teammate Isabella Loosbrock placed fourth overall. The top five from this weekend's event qualify for nationals which will be held in Galveston, Texas on Nov. 5-6.
This is Reineke's fourth NEISA singlehanded title with 28 points. The Eagles senior took last season off to train for the 2016 Olympic games. She returned in style as she was named an NEISA Sailor of the Week in the first week of competition. In the 13 races this weekend, Reineke placed first in nine events. She was second in two races, and slipped in race six with her lowest finished in ninth.Â
Loosbrock qualified for the second consecutive season as she placed fourth overall with 81 points. Loosbrock placed first in the 12th race, placed second once and had two fifth place finishes in the event.Â
Men's Sailing
RESULTS
Freshman Scott Rasmussen qualified in the men's singlehanded by finishing fourth overall with 94 points. Rasmussen won the eighth race, and picked up three fifth place and two fourth place finishes to qualify.
