Awarded annually to the winner of the Boston College-Clemson football game by the Boston College Grid-Iron Club
The game's MVP receives a genuine leather helmet replica worn by his team in the 1940s
The Boston College Gridiron Club initiated this award in recognition of the efforts of the Clemson fans in welcoming the Eagles to the ACC
The trophy is named after former Eagle quarterback Charles C. O'Rourke and former Tiger quarterback James McFadden, who led the teams into battle during their first-ever meeting

Boston College and Clemson both have one national championship. Boston College won one in 1940 and Clemson in 1981. The year before BC's national championship, the Eagles and Tigers met for the first time, a 6-3 victory for Clemson in the Cotton Bowl.
