Boston To Ireland gear available for purchase at BC Bookstore
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.  – The Boston College football team will kick off the 2016 season on Sept. 3 in Dublin, Ireland, against Georgia Tech in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic. The Eagles will be decked out with new Under Armour uniforms and Irish themed accessories.
Â
When BC takes the field at Aviva Stadium, the team will be wearing specially designed cleats and gloves that feature traditional Irish icons intermixed with BC imagery. Additionally, the traditional BC helmet will be altered to include an Irish-embellished stripe instead of the solid maroon to commemorate the once-in-a-lifetime experience
Â
BC fans can prepare for the game with Boston to Ireland gear, already available for sale at the Boston College bookstore.
Â
The Eagles will host local media for their annual media day on Thursday. Fourth-year head coach Steve Addazio will start things off with his annual preseason press conference streamed live at noon, followed by the two new coordinators – Scot Loeffler (offense) and Jim Reid (defense) – at 12:30 p.m. Student-athletes will be available to speak to media beginning at 1 p.m.
