HOW IT HAPPENED
- Niagara jumped out to an early, 3-0 lead in the first off Rapp. He loaded the bases on three straight walks before getting an infield fly for the second out. Owen Dziados doubled to left to clear the bases. Rapp forced a fly ball to get out of the inning.
- BC tied the game in the bottom of the inning, loading the bases on a single by Strem, a hit by pitch and a walk. With two outs, Adam drove in two with a base hit to left and Hoggarth tied the game with an RBI single through the left side.
- The Eagles took the lead in the second after Rapp stranded a runner on third. He gave up a lead-off double to Hyaden Coll, who moved to third on a sac hit. Rapp came back with a strikeout and fly ball to get out of the inning.
- In the bottom of the inning, the Eagles scored two go up, 5-3. Palomaki drew a walk to start and then stole second and third. Strem plated him with a high chopper just out of the third baseman's reach. Two walks loaded the bases and Strem scored on a wild pitch to give BC a two-run lead.
- BC went up, 8-3, with a three-run fourth. Sciortino and Cronin drew walks to start the inning and with one down, Adams hit one through the left side to drive in Sciortino. Both runners moved into scoring position when left fielder Julian Gallup bobbled the ball and Hoggarth plated them with a base hit to left. A grounder and pop fly ended the inning.
