BC Highlights
- The women's track and field team flew cross-country to the Golden State to take on the nations best at the Stanford Invitational.
- Graduate student Liv Westphal put together a tenacious effort in the 5000 meters. Westphal crossed the line in a staggering 15:44.28, which was her best time of the season. Westphal competed in the first section, facing some of the country's best professional runners. Her time was the second fastest of the collegiate women competing in the event and has qualified her for the ACC Championships. The time will also likely qualify Westphal for the first round of NCAA's
- Graduate student Danielle Winslow was equally as impressive with her performance in the steeplechase. Competing in the first section, Winslow finished ninth, but was the seventh collegiate runner overall. She finished in 10:05.68, which was four seconds faster than her previous best in the event. Her time is the second fastest all-time at Boston College and qualifies her for the ACC Championships.
- Sophomore Molly McCabe brought her best to the meet. McCabe set a new personal record in the 800 meters for the outdoor season. She crossed the line at 2:08.39, which qualifies her for the ACC Championships.
- Senior captain Carly Daniel shook off the early season rust quickly. Daniel flew through the finish line of the 400 meters with a time of 56.16, her best ever early season performance.
- Sophomore Isabelle Kennedy qualified for ACC's with her performance in the 5000 meters. Kennedy set a new outdoor personal record by crossing the line at 16:27.22.
- The 4x400 meter relay team (Celli, Daniel, Grose, McCabe) finished eighth in their event. The squad crossed the line in a swift 3:45.17, landing them third on the BC all-time performance list.
- The Eagles take this week off before heading down I-95 to Providence for the Friar Invitational in two weeks
