GAME NOTES:
- Having already ensured a .500 regular season record for a program best eighth year in a row, Boston College seeks its eighth straight year of double digit wins and its ninth overall with a win in one of its two remaining regular season games.Â
- In the latest statistics, BC is ranked third in conference in draw controls per game (14.27), free position percentage (0.430), and turnovers per game (12.53) while they are fourth in assists per game (5.07), points per game (17.53) and scoring offense (12.47). The Eagles draw controls per game mark is sixth best in the nation while the turnovers per game and scoring offense categories are ranked 18th and 19th nationally, respectively.Â
- Individually, Sarah Mannelly is first in the conference in both assists (26) and assists per game (1.73), which put her 14th and 24th nationally in those categories. She also finds herself third in ACC in points with 57 and points per game (3.80). Molly Erdle is fourth in conference in caused turnovers per game (1.80), which places her 23rd in the nation while Caroline Margolis' 0.53 free position goals per game is sixth best in the conference.Â
- BC enters Wednesday's matchup with Harvard boasting a 9-15 record against the Crimson all-time. Since the first year as a varsity program in 1992, the BC-Harvard matchup is the only game that has been a constant on the schedule, with the two squads having played each other in a non-conference matchup every single year. With less than five mile distance between the team's home venues, this rivalry has seen the maroon and gold take four of the last five games from the Crimson. Â Â
- With three goals, Sarah Mannelly would move into third place in the program's career goal record. With 166 career tallies, she is only two shy of Kristin Igoe's record of 168 set from 2008-12. With 26 assists this year, she has already moved into a tie for eighth place for a single season record all-time and could move to as high as fifth with three assists.
LAST TIME OUT:
- The Eagles are the winners of two straight, having defeated Dartmouth 14-9 last Tuesday before winning a hard fought battle over Virginia Tech, 15-10, to earn the team its second ACC win of the season on April 16.Â
UP NEXT:
- Boston College will have one more tuneup before the ACC Championship on Saturday, April 23 when the team hosts Johns Hopkins in the regular season finale. In the game, the team will honor its six seniors:Â Emily Zlevor, Kara Magley, Kate Rich, Molly Erdle, Caroline Margolis and Sarah Mannelly with a special pre-game ceremony. Opening draw is scheduled for 1 pm.Â
