
Full Day Planned Around Annual Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Game

Eagles will play their intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday, April 16
On Saturday, the Boston College football team will culminate six weeks of spring practice with the annual Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Game at Alumni Stadium. The game will start at noon, but the day – full of family fun – will get started much earlier. Admission is free for all events on campus on Saturday.

Beginning at 9 a.m., two family-focused events kick off to get fans ready for the Eagles. First, a host of family-fun activities will be set up outside of the Flynn Recreation Complex, including inflatable games, face-painting and music. (Rain location is inside the 'Plex.)

Additionally, kids age 12 and under can test their football skills in the Kids Combine. From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the Alumni Stadium field, kids can try the same drills and skills that the Eagles do every day in practice. Families should check in at Gate E and all participants will need a signed waiver form | Download the waiver and bring it with you to save time.

At noon, the annual Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Game will be played and fans will get their first look at the 2016 Eagles as the play the traditional end-of-spring-practice intrasquad scrimmage at Alumni Stadium.

Immediately after the game, fans are invited to stick around and get autographs from the Eagles on the field. Fans are asked to assemble at Gate E after the game and they will be brought out on to the field. Around campus, the Boston College softball team is hosting a doubleheader against No. 9 Florida State on Shea Field at 1 p.m., while the No. 15 BC lacrosse team will play Virginia Tech at Newton Campus at 11:30 a.m.
