Apuzzo Nets Inside Lacrosse National Rookie of the Week Honors

Freshman leads Eagles in both goals and draw controls
BALTIMORE (InsideLacrosse) – Boston College freshman Sam Apuzzo was named Inside Lacrosse National Rookie of the Week following her team's upset victory over then No. 3 Syracuse on Saturday.
Apuzzo, of West Babylon, N.Y., tallied three goals and an assist against the Orange on March 19. Her season total of 21 goals and 33 draw controls are team-leading while she is top-five in assists, shots, ground balls and caused turnovers.
This is the first Inside Lacrosse National Rookie of the Week honor of the midfielder's career.
The Eagles return to action this Saturday, March 26, when they host the Tar Heels of North Carolina. Opening draw is scheduled for 1 pm.
