Workman, Mukai Win Singles matches in Duke Loss

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to No. 69 Duke on Sunday afternoon.

The Eagles picked up points at No. 3 and No. 5 singles. Hank Workman claimed a 6-4, 7-6 win over TJ Pura on the No. 3 court, while Kent Mukai won 6-4, 6-1 on the No. 5 court. Mukai's win was his second-straight in ACC play.

The Blue Devils (8-9, 2-3 ACC) started the day with the doubles point, taking the No. 1 and 3 matches. The Eagles' combo of Alexandre Thiouin and Aidan McNulty won at the No. 2 spot.

Boston College (3-10, 0-5 ACC) returns to the court this weekend with a pair of ACC road matches. The Eagles will travel to face No. 33 NC State on Friday, before heading north to face No. 1 Virginia on Saturday.
