Eagles Advance to the NCAA Championships

Over the weekend the Eagles participated in the NCAA Northeast Regionals. The team performed well all around and two will advance to the NCAA Championships.

HIGHLIGHTS
- BC qualified 20 fencers, the maximum, to the NCAA Northeast Regional
- Event is a grueling 3 or 4 round event with roughly half the field eliminated each round
- Two BC fencers advanced to the 12-person final round, Renee Bichette and Peter Wetzel
- Based on a combination of regular-season results and Regional finish, Renee qualified to the NCAA Championships. This is her second time qualifying.
- Wetzel qualified to the Championship with an at-large bid
- BC fencing has qualified athletes to the NCAA Championship 9 out of the past 10 years
- Seven other BC fencers made it to the semi-final round of 21:
