- Sophomore Annie Murphy went 1-of-3 at the plate. Her single in the seventh inning increased her hitting streak to four games. Â
- Boston College defeated Indiana State, 4-0, earlier in the day.
TURNING POINT
- Auburn poured in four runs in the first two innings that proved to be more than enough cushion the rest of the way.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- With two on in the bottom of the first Madi Gipson doubled to center field, scoring Tiffany Howard. Jade Rhodes followed up with a single that plated both Gipson and Emily Carosone, giving the Tigers a 3-0 edge after one.
- Auburn would add another in the second, as a Howard single knocked in one more.
- The Tigers would get two more runs of insurance in the bottom of the sixth by way of a two-run home run by Kasey Cooper.
