Women's Results
BC Women's Fencing took first place at the New England Collegiate Championships on the strength of a 32-2 performance by the women's sabre squad. Following the foil and epee rounds, BC trailed MIT by seven bouts, 55-62. Sabre was up to the challenge, outscoring MIT 32-21 to bring the championship back to Boston College. Their 32-2 record earned them top honors in the sabre squad rankings as well as the coveted Vitale Cup, awarded to the weapon squad with the best record for the day. The foil and epee squads each finished second.
Women's 3-Weapon Team
1. Boston College 87-15
2. MIT 83-19
3. Brandeis 76-26
Five fencers advanced to the individual final: Amanda Lewis placed third in foil, Marney Krupat earned silver in sabre while squad mate Laura Donovan was fifth. Renee Bichette finished third and Ceara Sweeney eigth in epee.
Men's Results
The men finished in second place, 3 bouts behind Vassar College, despite a strong showing by the foil squad.

2. Boston College 68-22
3. Brandeis University 66-24
Six men advanced to the individual final: In foil, Cam Mayer (3rd), Ari Lichy (5th) and Dan Graap (8th). In sabre, Eliot Kim (3rd) and Rahul Tasker (5th). Peter Wetzel finished fifth in epee.
Combined 6-Weapon Team
With the women finishing first and the men second, BC also claimed the combined 6-weapon championship with 155 wins.
