BC TRAVELS TO WAKE FOREST
• Boston College travels to Winston-Salem, NC this weekend to take on Wake Forest on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
• The game will be televised by ESPNU and can be heard on the radio on WEEI 850 AM and bceagles.com.
• Boston College has lost its first 13 conference matchups. It lost at Clemson on Wednesday, 65-54.
• Wake Forest has lost 11-straight games entering Sunday, most recently falling at Pittsburgh in double overtime on Tuesday night, 101-96.
• The Demon Deacons are 5-7 at home this season while BC is winless on the road at 0-8.
• The Eagles have won each of the last three meetings between the teams, including a 79-61 triumph at Conte Forum a season ago.
LAST TIME vs. WAKE FOREST
• Olivier Hanlan finished with 19 points, eight rebounds and four assists as Boston College beat Wake Forest, 79-61, on March 7, 2015 at Conte Forum.
• Patrick Heckmann scored 14 points and Aaron Brown added 13.
• Dimitri Batten chipped in with 10 points while Eddie Odio and Garland Owens both had nine.
• The first half was tight most of the way and the score was tied, 26-26, with 4:46 left in the half.
• From there, Boston College finished the half on a 12-4 run to take a 38-30 lead into the locker room. Hanlan had four of the points down the stretch.
• BC was up, 49-40, and then went on a 9-2 run to build a 58-42 lead with under 10 minutes remaining. Heckmann had the first five points of the run.
• The Eagle lead was double digits for the remainder of the game. Â
THE BEST FROM CLIFFORD
• Senior Dennis Clifford is in the midst of the best three-game stretch of his career.
• He is averaging 15.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in games against #8/9 North Carolina, Syracuse and Clemson.
• He is also shooting 21-for-33 (.636) from the field in the last three outings.Â
• Prior to the North Carolina game, Clifford was shooting at a .471 clip.
• The Bridgewater, Mass., product recorded his second career double-double against the Tar Heels with 14 points and a career-high 13 rebounds.
• He then added 16 points, eight boards and four assists against Syracuse.
• On Wednesday, Clifford kept it going with 17 points and eight rebounds at Clemson.
• He shot .600 or better in each of the above games.
• The 47 points and 29 rebounds are the most he has posted in both categories in his career in a three-game span.Â
