- Megan Keller is the nation's leading scorer among defenseman with 40 points (12-28-40) ... her 13 power-play assists share the national lead with Carpenter and one other player, while her 17 PP points (4-13-17) are tied third nationally
- Alex Carpenter is now tied with Hilary Knight (Wisconsin '13) for seventh all-time on the NCAA career scoring list with 262 career points
- Alex Carpenter has been the Hockey East Player of the Week a record eight times this season ... no other player has ever won more than six in a season
- Earlier this week, Makenna Newkirk was named the Hockey East rookie of the week for the third time this season
- Katie Burt has set the program's season shutout record with 12, and its career shutout record with 22 in just 62 starts
THIRD-STRAIGHT REGULAR-SEASON TITLE
With its 3-0 win at Vermont on Sunday, the Eagles officially claimed their third straight Hockey East regular-season title outright ... BC won the 2013-14 crown with an 18-2-1 mark and the 2014-15 title with a 20-0-1 record ... so far this season, the Eagles are 22-0-0 in league play.
A PERFECT FIRST?
Boston College has two Hockey East games left in the season and enters the weekend with a 22-0-0 mark in league play ... no team in Hockey East history - on either the men's or women's side - has ever completed a perfect season in league play ... two women's teams have gone undefeated with 20-0-1 marks: UNH in 2007-08 and BC last year in 2014-15 ... on the men's side, the best-ever conference mark was Maine's 22-1-1 record in 1992-93.
CARPENTER'S RECORD-SETTING AWARD HAUL IN HEA
Eight different times this season, Alex Carpenter has been tabbed Hockey East's player of the week - the league's record in a single season ... she's also a two-time conference player of the month this year ... in her career, Carpenter has nabbed a conference-record 20 player of the week recognitions, not including her two rookie of the week awards in 2011-12.
NEW CONFERENCE WIN RECORD ESTABLISHED
Boston College has established a new Hockey East record for conference wins in a season with 22 ... prior to this season, the record was 20, held by the 2007-08 UNH team and the 2014-15 BC team which both went 20-0-1 in their 21-game seasons ... however, this year - following Merrimack's entry into Hockey East - league members now have 24 conference games on the docket.
HOCKEY EAST QUARTERFINAL SERIES SET
Boston College already knows its opponent for the quarterfinal round of the 2016 Hockey East Tournament ... the Eagles, who have claimed the No. 1 seed, will host Maine in a best-of-three series at Kelley Rink starting Friday, Feb. 26 ... all the games will be free admission ... the Black Bears finished the season in eighth place with a 6-17-1 mark in league play ... they have scored 40 goals and allowed 75 ... DEFENSE SHUTTING DOWN OPPONENTS' LANES ...
Boston College's defense has allowed just 656 shots on goal this season, the fifth-lowest mark nationally and the fewest in Hockey East (New Hampshire is second with 844, 15th nationally) ... the team's 20.50 shots allowed per game is also fifth-fewest nationally ... BC has held opponents under 20 shots in 16 of 32 games ... in eight of the last 11 games, Eagles' opponents have failed to hit the 20-shot mark.
... BUT EAGLES OPENING THEM UP

BC'S BEEN STREAKING

- The Eagles' current 32-game undefeated run is tied for second in NCAA history with a pair of Wisconsin teams (2006-07, 2010-11), behind the Gophers' 62-game streak from February 2012 through November 2013
- After the Eagles' 32-game run, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Clarkson all have 13-game runs in tact
- BC is the only remaining team nationally with a perfect 1.000 winning percentage this season.
STREAK'S STILL STRONG IN HOCKEY EAST
BC enters Friday's game riding a 47-game undefeated streak in regular-season Hockey East play that dates back to the 2013-14 season ... the Eagles' last loss in league play was Feb. 8, 2014, a 2-0 setback at Connecticut ... since that loss, BC is 46-0-1 in regular-season action, including last year's 20-0-1 season ... since the start of the 2012-13 season (the majority of the senior class' freshman year), BC is 77-4-4 in regular-season conference games.
NCAA-RECORD HOME STREAKS STRETCH ON
The Eagles will return home Friday afternoon riding an NCAA-record 48-game home unbeaten run that dates back to Oct. 20, 2013 … in this current stretch, BC has gone 47-0-1 and won the last 42 games played at Kelley Rink - also an NCAA record ... BC's 48-game unbeaten streak and its 42-game home winning streak passed Minnesota's 31-game streaks (undefeated and winning) earlier this season ... the Eagles have out-scored their opponents 258-63 during the current unbeaten run, averaging 5.38 goals per game while allowing just 1.31 goals per game ... the last time BC lost at Kelley Rink was Oct. 16, 2013, a 3-1 defeat by New Hampshire.
