- BC took a 14-4 lead with 14:14 left in the first half. Tava scored five of those points and the Eagles forced six turnovers in the stretch.
- Hartford finished the first half strong with nine unanswered points that gave the Hawks a 27-23 halftime lead.
- The Hawks continued their momentum in the second half as Dunne scored seven points in another 9-0 run, giving the Hawks a 41-30 lead with 15:08 left in the game.
- Boston College fought back and scored eight unanswered points to take a 57-56 lead with 2:32 to go.
- The game went down to the wire after that. Sophomore Jerome Robinson sank a jumper to give BC a 63-62 lead with 14 seconds left.
- Dunne responded with Hartford's game-winning 3-pointer with 2.1 seconds remaining.
