HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams took four shots in the first half but Clemson had three on target to Boston College's two.
- The Tigers had a free kick 11 minutes into the match from 22 yards out, but Aaron Jones' shot was saved by sophomore Cedric Saladin.
- Clemson was rewarded a penalty kick with 3:43 left in the first half when a player was taken down on the left side of the box. Diego Campos took the shot, but Saladin made a diving save to keep it scoreless at halftime.
- Senior Zeiko Lewis created some space at the top of the box by moving to his left and fired a hard shot on goal, but it was saved by the Clemson keeper 11 minutes into the second half.
- A few minutes later, freshman Lasse Lehmann stole the ball in the defensive half then fed a streaking Simon Enstrom to his left. With a man on him, Enstrom fired but the ball sailed wide of the target.
- A foul call gave Clemson a free kick from 30 yards out on the left side in the waning moments. Jones sent the ball into the middle of the box and Happi redirected it to the back of the net for the Clemson win with 89 seconds left.
