SERIES HISTORY

Boston College and Florida State meet for the 15th time in series history Friday night in Tallahassee.
The two teams began series play in 1957 (20-7 BC win).
In ACC play, Florida State is 8-3 against Boston College. Three of the eight losses for BC in ACC play have been by 10 points or less.
Boston College has 12 native Floridians on the roster heading into Friday's game in the Sunshine State.
Friday's game is the ninth time Boston College faces a ranked Florida State team. The Eagles are 1-7 all-time against FSU when the Seminoles are ranked. The lone victory in series play against a ranked FSU squad was a 27-17 victory over No. 20 Florida State in 2008.
Florida State was Boston College's first opponent in an ACC game in 2005. The Seminoles came away with a 28-17 victory over the Eagles in Chestnut Hill.

SCOUTING THE SEMINOLES

Last week, the Seminoles defeated NC State 24-20 to become bowl eligible for the 35^th consecutive season.
The Seminole offense is led by quarterback Deondre Francois. In nine games, the redshirt freshman has passed for 2,492 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Leading the receiving core for Florida State is Travis Rudolph, who leads all receivers in receptions (38), yards (599) and touchdowns (4).
The Seminoles top offensive threat is running back Dalvin Cook, who has rushed for 1,134 yards and 12 touchdowns. Cook has also totaled over 100 all-purpose yards in six games, eighth-best in the nation
On defense, look for Demarcus Walker to bring pressure from the edge as he ranks first in the nation with 10.5 sacks.

THE EAGLES BREAKDOWN

Boston College looks for its third win all-time at Florida State and its first since 2008 Friday night. The Eagles are 2-4 all-time at Doak Campbell.
Boston College is 30-101-1 all-time against ranked competition. The Eagles have not won a game against a ranked opponent since a 37-31 victory over No. 9 Southern California in 2014.
The Eagles defense will look to battle the Seminole rush game as the team currently ranks eighth in the nation in rushing defense.
Junior defensive end Harold Landry remains third in the nation in sacks, just 1.5 sacks behind Walker.
Graduate student quarterback Patrick Towles will make his 10^th start of the season. Towles has thrown for 1,293 yards this season and has accounted for eight touchdowns through the air.
Redshirt sophomore Jon Hilliman continues to lead the Eagles' rushers with 432 yards and five touchdowns this season.
Last week, junior wide receiver Charlie Callinan set new season-highs in receptions and receiving yards, catching four passes for 54 yards.
