SERIES HISTORY
- Boston College and Wake Forest meet for the 24th time Saturday. The Eagles lead the series 12-9-2 against the Demon Deacons and have won two of the last three meetings.
- The two teams began series play in 1941 (26-6 BC win).
- BC is 3-3-1 all-time in Winston-Salem against Wake, including a 3-2 mark in ACC play at Wake.
- BC has two North Carolina natives on its roster - junior defensive end Harold Landry and true freshman linebacker John Lamot.
- BC fullback Bobby Wolford faces off against his brother John this week on the gridiron. John is a quarterback for the Demon Deacons. Both players missed last week's games due to injuries.
SCOUTING THE DEMON DEACONS
- Wake Forest has lost four of its last five games coming into the final game of the season.
- Taking the snaps is John Wolford who has completed 56.7 percent of his passes for 1,454 yards and five touchdowns.
- Look for the ball to be spread out, as five different receivers have recorded at least 20 receptions and top receiver Tabari Hines leads the team with 33.
- Splitting the carries are Matt Colburn and Cade Carney. The two backs have a five-carry differential with Carney topping his counterpart five to one in touchdowns.
- On defense, safety Jessie Bates leads the team with 88 tackles but has also recorded a team-high five interceptions.
THE EAGLES BREAKDOWN
- Boston College will be looking to finish .500 on the season and guarantee a bowl game with the win.
- Graduate quarterback Patrick Towles will get the start for the Eagles. Last week Towles completed 73.7 percent of his passes, the best single-game completion percentage the season.
- Sophomore wide receiver Jeff Smith is coming off his best game of the season as he racked up a career-high 121 all-purpose yards.
- Sophomore wide receiver Michael Walker currently sits atop the receiving core, leading the team with 29 receptions and three touchdowns.
- Defensive backs John Johnson (senior), Will Harris, (sophomore) and Kamrin Moore (junior) lead the team with two interceptions each.
- Junior linebacker Connor Strachan leads the Eagles defense with 60 tackles this year.
- Junior defensive back Harold Landry continues to be a disruptive force as he ranks third in the nation in sacks with 12, 16th in tackles-for-a-loss with 16 and first in the nation with seven forced fumbles.
