HOW IT HAPPENED
- Despite five turnovers in the first quarter, BC held an 18-17 lead. Hughes hit two three's while Fasoula opened the quarter with four straight points.
- The Eagles went on a 7-0 run early in the second quarter to take a 27-22 lead behind another three by Hughes and four points from rookie Emma Guy (eight points, four rebounds).
- Â BC's largest lead in the half came at 4:17 in the quarter as Hughes hit her fourth three for a, 36-30, lead. BC led 40-37 at the half after a layup by Guy.
- The Eagles opened up on a 7-0 run in the second half to go up, 46-37. BC then turned the ball over and Seton Hall hit two three's and a layup to cut the Eagles lead to one point, 46-45, at 5:43 in the third.
- The Pirates forward Claire Lundberg hit three three's in the quarter to take a 55-52 lead after three quarters.
- Â The fourth quarter Ella Awobajo put together her own four point run and BC was down one point. Seton Hall's Kaela Hilaire hit two layups and a jumper by Deja Winter pushed the Pirates lead to 63-56. - BC was still alive as Hughes stole the inbounds at half court and BC called a timeout with 16.4 to play.
- Hilaire then deflected the ball out of bounds off a BC player and Seton Hall had the ball with less than 12 seconds to play. She was fouled and sealed the game with two free throws.
