HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
The teams started out even, until a 3-0 Seminole run established a thin 8-6 lead. The Eagles countered with a 3-0 run of their own to take a one-point 9-8 lead. Continuing with back-and-forth play, the Maroon and Gold retook a two-point lead at 13-11 following back-to-back aces by Lydon. After 13 tied scores and 8 lead changes, BC came out on top, 25-22, by winning the final two points of the set.
Set 2
The Seminoles capitalized early, taking a 4-1 lead to open the set. Another three straight points later extended the Florida State lead to 8-3. After calling timeout at 14-8, the Eagles came back to win two straight points on a Strockis kill and a Jane DeJarld ace, forcing the Seminoles to call timeout. Florida State hung onto its lead and closed out the set by taking the last three points to win, 25-17
Set 3
The Eagles led 2-1 but the Seminoles won four straight to go ahead 5-2. BC got within three at 12-9, but a 5-1 Florida State run extended their lead to 17-10, forcing the Eagles to call timeout. The Noles took command from there and never gave up the lead again since the start of the set to win, 25-17.
Set 4

Florida State began with a 3-1 lead and after a series of exchanging points, was able to tack on a few more to lead 11-7, forcing a BC timeout. Following the timeout, the Eagles won the first point, but soon after the Noles took to a 4-0 run that gave them a 16-8 lead. FSU never looked back and won the set 25-18.
