- Nicholls State opened things up by scoring 16 of the game's first 17 points.
- The Colonels got the lead up to 37-20 with 5:24 left in the half.
- Boston College closed out the first half with a 13-5 run to cut the deficit to 42-33. Sophomore Jordan Chatman and Graves hit consecutive 3-pointers to end it.
-Â BC cut the lead down to 45-39 three minutes into the second half after a Graves 3-pointer, but Nicholls State scored the next four to push the lead back to double digits.
- The Colonels opened up a 64-50 lead, but the Eagles went on a 15-2 run over the next five minutes to make it a 66-65 deficit with 4:01 remaining.
- Robinson pulled up for a jumper to tie it for the first time, 69-69, with 2:28 left but that is as close as BC would get.
