BC OPENS SEASON AT HARTFORD
- Boston College opens the 2016-17 campaign on the road at Hartford on Friday at 7 p.m. at Chase Arena.
- The game will be streamed on AmericaEast.com.
- Boston College finished 15-16 last season and 2-14 in the ACC. The Eagles did pick up a victory in the first round of the ACC Tournament against Virginia Tech.
- Hartford is opening the 2016-17 season with a new coach – Kim McNeill. She is very familiar with the Eagles and ACC play as she was an assistant at Virginia.
- BC is 11-1 all-time against Hartford.

LAST TIME vs. HARTFORD
- The Eagles defeated the Hawks, 62-28, behind 14 points and nine rebounds from Emilee Daley and 11 points and eight rebounds from Kelly Hughes.
- Boston College held Hartford to just 12 points in the first half. The Eagles outscored Hartford, 19-4 in the second half behind a 10-0 run sparked by a three by Nicole Boudreau.
- BC won the battle of the boards, 55-23.

- Head Coach Erik Johnson welcomed new assistant coach Jesyka Burks-Wiley and new GA Lauren Battista.
- Burks-Wiley joins BC from Brown University where she was an assistant under former Eagles great Sarah Behn. Burks-Wiley, a 2009 graduate of Boston University, was an All-American in her senior season and played professionally overseas.
- Battista arrived at The Heights after working at the NCAA in Indiana. She was the Division 2 National Player of the Year and helped lead Bentley to the 2014 National Championship.

THIS DAY IN HISTORY
- In the 2005-06 season, Boston College opened up with a 51-44 victory over Drexel in the first round of the WNIT Preseason Tournament. Forward Brooke Queenan had 15 points and five assists, while Kathrin Ress chipped in with 10 points and nine boards. The Eagles finished the season with a 21-12 record and went 6-8 in the ACC. BC advanced to the NCAA Tournament and had victories over Notre Dame, Ohio State before losing to Utah by three points.
