Jesyka Burks-Wiley, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, joined the Boston College staff in June of 2016. Prior to her arrival at The Heights, Burks-Wiley worked two seasons as an assistant coach under former BC forward and now head coach at Brown, Sarah Behn.
Burks-Wiley was Behn’s assistant and recruiting coordinator at UMass Lowell in the 2013-14 season. The two worked together to guide Lowell from a Division 2 program to a full-time Division 1 program. Prior to joining Behn’s staff at Lowell, Burks-Wiley was an assistant at Nebraska-Omaha in the 2012-13 season. It was the Mavericks’ second year of Division 1 play.
A 2009 graduate of Boston University, Burks-Wiley was the America East Player of the Year her senior season. A two-year starter, she became one of only eight players to record 1,000 points and 500 rebounds. As a senior, Burks-Wiley averaged 17.9 points and 7.3 rebounds a game.
Upon graduation in 2009, Burks-Wiley played professionally overseas in Romania, Finland, Portugal and Belgium.
