FALL BALL WRAP UP

The Boston College softball team finished the fall season with a 6-1 record. The Eagles scored 73 runs, recorded 92 hits and hit .385 as a team in the seven games. Allyson Frei had a strong fall season as she pitched 20.3 innings, struck out 25 and had an ERA of 1.02.

The Eagles opened the fall with a 28-0 win over Bryant. Chimento and Tatiana Cortez had four hits, while Frei had eight strikeouts and Jordan Weed had four. The Eagles scored a fall season-high 13 runs in the seventh inning.

In the second game of the fall, BC defeated UConn, 7-2, behind the pitching of Jessica Dreswick and Jordan Weed. The Eagles scored five runs in the fifth inning.

BC then played a two-game series against Providence. BC won game one, 10-1 behind four hits from Taylor Coroneos and three RBIs from Madison Paulson. Frei had 10 strikeouts in the win.

In game two, Boston College squeaked out a 15-10 victory behind 17 hits and three homeruns. Jordan Chimento, Chloe Dubocq and Jordan Weed honored and had three RBIs apiece. Jessica Dreswick and Jordan Weed combined for the win.

The Eagles only loss of the season was against Boston University, 7-3. The Eagles made three errors. Dreswick and Frei pitched in the game.

The final series of the season was a two-game battle against Lowell. BC won the first game, 8-3, a strong offensive game from Jordan Chimento. She had a homerun and two hits on the day. Taylor Coroneos also had two hits while Frei had four strikeouts and yielded on two hits. In the second game, Boston College won, 2-1, with Dreswick going seven innings with eight strikeouts.
