- Freshman Jill Strockis had another strong match for the Eagles, posting a team-high 11 kills, while senior Anna Skold had 8 kills of her own, leading to a .333 match hitting percentage.
- In digs, junior libero Madisen Lydon tied for the match-high with 13.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
London Ackermann opened the match with an ace for the Yellow Jackets, who took an early 6-2 lead. After extending the lead to six points at 16-10, the Eagles were forced to call timeout. Georgia Tech won 7 of the last 9 points in the set to take the 25-14 victory.
Set 2
After using a 5-0 run to go ahead 8-3 early, the Eagles forced a Georgia Tech timeout. The
Jackets got within three points five different times, but BC strung together three straight points to extend the lead to 20-14. The Maroon and Gold held on from there to win 25-20.
Set 3
Neither team was able to build any separation until the Jackets broke a 10-10 tie by winning five straight points to lead 15-10. The Eagles couldn't cut the lead down to less than four points from there, and dropped the set 25-20.
Set 4
The Yellow Jackets put together two separate runs of 4-0 to take a 13-4 lead, at which point the Eagles were forced to call timeout. From there, Georgia Tech held the Eagles at bay, only giving up eight more points, winning the set 25-12.
