Eagles in the NFL: Week Five Recap

Matt Ryan – QB Atlanta Falcons
Ryan led the Falcons to their fourth victory of the season, topping the Denver Broncos, 23-16. Ryan threw the football for 267 total yards, recording 15 completions on 28 pass attempts. Ryan threw one touchdown pass in the game, allowing the Falcons to continue their four-game win streak. Â
Luke Kuechly – LB Carolina Panthers
Kuechly had a strong showing for the Panthers against Tampa Bay, recording 11 total combined tackles (six solo, five assisted). Kuechly played on every defensive snap and on five special teams appearances. The Panthers fell, 14-17.
Will Blackmon – CB Washington Redskins
Blackmon recorded two solo tackles in the Redskins' 16-10 win over the Baltimore Ravens. Blackmon also ran the ball for a 45-yard kick return to start the second quarter and saw the field in all 71 defensive plays and eleven special teams appearances.
Ifeanyi Momah – TE Arizona Cardinals
Momah forced and recovered one fumble against the 49ers as the Cardinals won, 33-21. Momah participated in 18 special teams appearances and two offensive plays in week five.
Anthony Castonzo – OT Indianapolis Colts
Castonzo started at left tackle for the Colts in their 29-23 win over the Chicago Bears and participated in all 68 offensive snaps for Indianapolis's second win of the season, allowing the Colts to gain almost 400 yards
and two 80-plus yard touchdown drives.
Mark Herzlich – LB New York Giants
Herzlich saw the field in all 30 special teams appearances and five defensive snaps in the Giants' 16-23 loss to the Packers.
John Wetzel – OT Arizona Cardinals
Wetzel participated in 29 offensive plays and six special teams appearance in the Cardinals' 33-21 win over the 49ers, allowing the offense to gain two 70-plus yard touchdown drives.
Gosder Cherilus – OT Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Cherilus lined up 17 times for the offense and five times for special teams in the Buccaneers' 17-14 win over the Panthers.
Emmett Cleary – OT Dallas Cowboys
Cleary saw the field in four special teams plays as the Cowboys beat the Bengals, 28-14.
Ryan Quigley – P Arizona Cardinals
Quigley punted nine times for 382 total yards in the Cardinals' 33-21 win over the 49ers.
Kasim Edebali – LB New Orleans Saints
The Saints had a bye in week five.
Justin Simmons – FS Denver Broncos
Simmons was inactive in week five due to an injury.
Kevin Pierre-Louis – LB Seattle Seahawks
