Boston College suffered its second consecutive road loss, 62-56, at Georgia Tech on Sunday afternoon at the McCamish Pavilion. The Eagles are now 13-8 overall and 1-7 in the ACC. Georgia Tech improved to 13-9 and 3-6 in the conference. BC will host No. 17 Miami on Thursday night at Conte Forum.

BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman Mariella Fasoula tied her career-high with 23 points and grabbed six boards in the Eagles loss. Junior Kelly Hughes chipped in with 12 points and six boards, while Alexa Coulombe added six points and a team-high seven rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- BC held a 13-12 lead after one quarter. Both teams struggled to score in the first five minutes as the score was 4-1 BC. After the media timeout, the teams heated up. BC took a 9-5 lead on a three by Nicole Boudreau. Two straight hoops in the final minute by Alexa Coulombe gave BC the one point lead. The Eagles shot 46 percent and seven fast break points.
- Three ties and three lead changes was the story in the second quarter. BC took a three point lead behind a lay-up by Mariella Fasoula at 9:35 in the quarter. Aaliyah Whiteside (17 points, four steals) tied the game on a jumper on the wing. Whiteside tied it at 18-18 with less than five to play. Down the stretch Fasoula scored six points as BC took the one point lead at the half, 29-28.
- The Eagles pulled away early behind two three's from Kelly Hughes – 36-33. A jumper by Mosetti gave BC a five point lead with five minutes to play in the quarter. Vuckovic continued to hurt the Eagles as she hit a jumper and Whiteside layup tied the game with 2:47 left in the quarter. The exchange of free throws marked the fourth tie in the quarter. After a layup by Fasoula, Tech's Antonia Peresson hit a long three to give Georgia Tech a 45-44 lead. Two free throws at the buzzer by Vucvich extended the lead 47-44 after three.
- The fourth quarter Fasoula worked inside and cut the lead to one but Vuckavic's fourth three pushed the Tech lead to four points. Hughes baseline jumper cut the lead to two but a jumper by Rodgers kept the Jackets lead to four points. Fasoula came back with a revers and Techs lead was two points, 54-52 with 6:31 left in the game.
- After two turnovers, Irene Gari was fouled and hit two foul shots and the Tech lead was four points with less than five minutes to play.
- The Eagles cut the lead to just two points on a half hook by Coulombe. But the final three minutes, BC's last basket came on a lay in by Fasoula was with 1:15 to play. The Eagles three turnovers in the final three minutes resulted in Yellow Jacket free throws. BC's attempt to tie the game came on a three by Boudreau with 33 seconds to play but it hit the front of the rim.

- At the half, Boston College was shooting 48 percent from the floor and 40 percent from the three point arc. Georgia Tech was shooting 37 percent from the floor.
- BC had just seven turnovers in the first half and 11 in the second half.
- The Eagles lost the battle of the boards, 37-27. Seventeen of the 37 rebounds were offensive boards by the Yellow Jackets.
- Boston College also only got to the line eight times, while the Eagles sent Georgia Tech to the line 25 times in the game.
